John Myatt is the (in)famous forger who made over 200 paintings in the style of famous post war artists such as Giacometti, de Stael and Ben Nicholson, which were then sold as genuine by ‘Professor Drewe’ through major auction houses and dealers, fetching hundreds of thousands each.
Drewe was eventually caught and sentenced along with Myatt who served 3 months at HMP Brixton for his part in what has been dubbed the ‘biggest art con of the 20th century’.
John will be at the gallery on Saturday 28th March to talk about his life and work.
Prices from £4950 for original artwork and £995 for signed prints.
