This year we’re seeing a big shift towards home décor inspired by the natural world, including botanical prints and natural materials like wool, terracotta, wood and marble.

You might have come across the Danish phenomenon ‘Hygge’ – it’s a similar kind of trend in interiors, based around a new desire to get away from the city and from technology.

Moving on from last year’s dusky pink and light blue colours, Pantone recently announced ‘Greenery’ as their Colour of the Year. It’s safe to say that various shades of green will be trending throughout 2017. We love the vibrant and fresh hue of ‘Greenery’ especially when it’s complemented with other shades of green. Delcor’s Metro Sofa is contemporary enough to work well in a bright green fabric.

If you like the idea of ‘bringing the outside in’ you could try adding some house plants to your living room. Succulents are easy to care for, and as everyone knows, cacti don’t need a lot of water. Just make sure you place them away from radiators and in a sunny spot.

Bold, leafy botanical prints are another great idea for natural inspired décor. This Metro Chair from Delcor is a beautiful example.

Moving on from the pineapples and flamingos that were all the rage in 2016, we will see a lot of safari themed décor this season. Look out for wild animal prints like zebra and tiger.
