Midsummer Horse-Drawn Rides in Richmond Park

Enjoy Richmond Park like never before from the back of a four-person horse drawn Landau carriage.

This 90-minute experience begins at Holly Lodge, Richmond Park, where you’ll be treated to a unique behind-the-scenes visit of the working stables.

You will then take your place in the carriage embarking on a 60-minute magical ride through the Park. The scenic route takes you through the quieter parts of Richmond Park, giving you the chance to marvel at the majestic deer from up close. You will be treated to evening views over Penn Ponds, glimpses of White Lodge, childhood weekend home of the Queen and breathtaking panoramic views of the iconic London skyline.

The money raised will help support the charitable work of the Royal Parks Foundation, the charity that helps support the magic of London’s Royal Parks, plus the equine therapy projects of Operation Centaur, whose shire horses work in Richmond Park and in the community. These unique experiences are part of a wider partnership between the Royal Parks Foundation and Operation Centaur which aims to bring back traditional working methods, whilst engaging the whole community and teaching children in a creative way.

Rides depart daily at
5.30pm, 6.30pm and 7.30pm.
