The Raymond Blanc Festival of Music celebrates its 25th anniversary

This autumn, Raymond Blanc’s two Michelin star restaurant and hotel Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the much anticipated Raymond Blanc Festival of Music, which takes place in the intimate setting of the neighbouring 12th century St Mary’s Church.

The Raymond Blanc Festival of Music is well established, showcasing many internationally acclaimed artists from the worlds of opera, classical music and jazz and the 2016 festival will offer music aficionados the ultimate opportunity to witness the world’s most successful UK jazz artist Jamie Cullum and prolific classical crossover artist Katherine Jenkins in almost complete privacy.

Guests will be welcomed with a Champagne Laurent-Perrier reception, served with canapés, before being led on a torch lit walk to St Mary’s Church for the evening’s concert performance. Guests will then return to Belmond Le Manoir to enjoy dinner created by Raymond Blanc, Executive Head Chef Gary Jones and Chef Patisier Benoit Blin of BBC 2 Bake Off: Crème de la Crème for the occasion, with selected wines from the cellar, coffee and petits fours.

Raymond Blanc commented, ‘I am delighted and honoured that we are celebrating the 25th anniversary of The Raymond Blanc Festival of Music with two very dear friends in the music industry. This is such a unique event and offers a rare chance to get close and personal with some of the highest calibre artists in the music industry; guests will have the once in a lifetime opportunity to not only witness Jamie and Katherine perform, but to have dinner and mingle with both artists after their performances.’

With a Grammy, two Golden Globes, two GQ Man of the Year awards, three BRIT awards, three Sony Radio awards and numerous additional accolades under his belt, Jamie Cullum is a success story around the planet, having sold over 10 million albums worldwide.

The Welsh mezzo soprano Katherine Jenkins has sold over seven million albums to date. Following the birth of her first baby Aaliyah, Katherine returns this May with her new album ‘Celebration’, her own musical tribute to The Queen’s 90th Birthday. Katherine will be the heart and soul of a triple set of Royal Celebrations, as she will also take a leading role in the ITV’s televised tribute from Windsor Castle as well as starring  in her very own Royal tribute concerts, including a sell-out date at the Royal Albert Hall.

Jamie Cullum will perform on Wednesday 5 October and Katherine Jenkins will perform on Thursday 6 October. The evening begins at 6.45pm and dinner is served at 9.15pm.
